Q.I. Vedo Sostenibile

Edited by Adriana Rispoli

produced by the Universal Forum of Cultures of Naples and Campania

September 26-October 19, 2014

Q.I VEDO SUSTAINABLE curated by Adriana Rispoli is an exhibition project in which 12 national and international artists interpret with the language of video the themes of the environment, eco-sustainability and the man-nature relationship by projecting visual messages on a monumental wall transformed into a permanent screen in the heart of the popular Montesanto district in Naples.

Q.I. VEDO SUSTAINABLE is a project produced by the Universal Forum of Cultures., in collaboration with Goethe Institut, Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli and under the Matronato della Fondazione Donnaregina per le arti contemporanee.

September 26

Inauguration 6 p.m.

Press conference 7:30 p.m.

Projection of Cycling The Frame (1988) e The Invisible Frame (2009) by Cynthia Beatt with Scottish actress Tilda Swinton.

The docufilms, now important and original historical documents, are poetic but real journeys undertaken by Swinton on her bicycle before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall. An alienating look from the West spying on the East in the former and an evocative tale among the different landscapes captured from both sides of the Wall, in the latter. The films - in the 25th anniversary year of the fall of the Wall - raise the question of the collective processing of grief and how one can stop History on film and capture what is invisible to the eyes.
